Composite windows - The H Window System
A window for Generations
The H-Window system is a unique range of aluminium/timber composite windows and doors which have been developed and tested in one of the worlds toughest climates - west coast Sweden.
This market leading system has been designed with the aim of producing high performance windows and doors with superior lifespan.
The result has been a low maintenance window system which lasts for generations.
Design Versatility
The H-Window system is adaptable to suit your design specifications, be it size, configuration or colour. All units are manufactured in millimetre increments, ensuring a perfect fit.
The H-Window System
This unique concept has its strength based in the aluminium structure, which is combined with an attractive internal timber finish. The clean, simple lines give any facade an air of elegance.
The aluminium externally offers strong, attractive, easily maintained protection - ideal for withstanding the test of time.
The timber internally not only brings warmth and natural beauty to the room but also improves the energy efficiency of the windows and doors.
Advanced glazing solutions using double or triple sealed glazed units, can be incorporated into the systems to satisfy acoustic, thermal, aesthetic or other performance requirements.
Highest quality ironmongery ensures long lasting ease of operation of the windows and doors.
The prize winning combination offers the ultimate in high performance low maintainance solutions - with a lifespan in a class of its own.
Specifications
Aluminium profile:
Alloy SIS 4104-06 finished as standard in brown or natural anodising or white varnish to provide minimal maintenance.
By implementation of strict internal Quality Control procedures throughout the manufacturing period from initial extrusion to final anodising process, the chemical bonding of the oxide film to the profile which prevents the peeling or stripping of the coating, is carefully monitored.
H Windows are also available in a range of 60 selected powder coating colours from the Corro-Coat range to enhance the designer's options.
Timber Profile:
Class 'B' Redwood conforming to SIS 818102 (not finger-jointing). The timber sections are supplied with the surfaces treated either with varnish or electrostatic spraying applied under controlled factory conditions.
Glazing and joint material conforming to SIS 818140.
Factory-fitted sealing-strip of Q-Ion type V-strip.
Fittings:
The H Window fitting is made of cold- rolled steel, zinc-plated (minimum 15 microns), yellow chromed with protective lacquer based upon the counter balance principle to ensure the window is always fully balanced.
Espagnolette of zinc-plated steel. Polished chrome handle which can also be supplied with a lock.
For ease of installation and to suit client requirements, window frames can be pre-drilled prior to delivery and be provided with sealing caps.
Quality control:
As well as the stringent in-house quality control, independent testing is undertaken by the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute. The Institute visits the plant two or three times a year and selects windows from the production line on a random basis to he tested in their laboratories. Copies of test certificates can be made available upon request.
Technical and design service:
Our technical representatives are available to give advice to all specifiers of the H Aluminium Window System.
If you are unable to utilise the standard product in your design we can discuss the individual requirement and subject to viability of cost, advise on solutions. Quality assurance:
Manufacture of all products is carried out in our Swedish factories under P-Mark licence, the Swedish equivalent of the British Standard Kite-Mark, regulated under the auspices of the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute.
Products have been independently tested in the U.K. to determine weather- tightness with respect to air infiltration, water penetration and wind resistance, in accordance with BS 5368: Part 1: I976, BS 5368: Part 2:1980, BS 5368: Part 3: 1978, as modified by BS 6375 Part 1: 1989.
The following results were obtained:
Air Infiltration. The samples satisfied the requirements of BS 6375: Part 1:1989, to a test pressure class of 600 Pa, Grade C.
Water Penetration. The samples satisfied the requirements of BS 6375: Part 1: 1989, to a test pressure class of 600 Pa. No water leakage was observed throughout the tests.
Wind Resistance. The samples satisfied the requirements of BS 6375: Part 1: 1989, to a test pressure class of 2400 Pa.
