Rock and Ground AnchorsDenver Construction Services have in house consultants, and offer a full design and installation package for all rock and ground anchor requirements. Typically required applications are landslides, rock fragmentation, retaining wall failure, subsidence, damaged railway bridges/viaducts and cracked or unsafe old stone walls. The attached photographs show the drilling for and installation of 32 No 21 meter Dywidag anchors into a retaining wall to assist the re-opening of the Ebbw Vale Railway line. |

Grouting/Pressure Grouting
In
conjunction with ground stabilisation
grouting (see Denver Geotechnical Section), Denver Construction Services
also undertake pressure grouting which carries out high pressure injection
of cementatious grouts within void indentified areas.
Typical examples include factory floors, car parks, ground floor bearing slabs, small sewar /water pipes, voids behind concrete retaining walls and also ground anchor pressure injection Denver Construction Services have a selection of high pressure pumps for all specialist grouting projects.
The case study above shows a reinforced concrete loading bay area at
Tesco Superstore. A slab area approx 100mtrs square was found to have
a 25mm – 50mm void area below the slab due to fill non compaction. Denver
Construction Services drilled a series of 50mm diametre injection and
pressure relief holes into the reinforced concrete slab at specified gridline
locations and using the Craelius pump stabilised the entire void area
below the slab. A pre bagged PFA/OPC mixed grout was used along with a
suitable plastisiser to assist in the grout travel during the high pressure
pumping operation.

also have extensive experience working with construction companies, Hospitals,
Highways, Rail Track and Factories etc.
The photographs showing concrete repair works, floor laying and resin crack injection were undertaken by ourselves for the Cardiff Harbour Authority on the massive Cardiff Barrage Project.
Other
examples shown are resin anchor installation works for Associated British
Ports for dock ship mooring bollard installation works, and crash barrier
bollard installation works for local health authorities.
